Heather Holland

I started playing the Bassoon in 7th grade and majored in Music and Pedagogy at Florida State University. I won a position with the USAF Heartland of America Band at the end of college and performed over 300 concerts a year. I have played with the following orchestras and organizations as 1st, 2nd Bassoon, or as an extra as needed: Omaha Symphony, Lincoln Symphony, Des Moines Symphony, FSU Wind Ensemble, FSU University Orchestra, Albany, GA Symphony, Panama City Symphony, Marion Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, Eastern Music Festival Orchestra and Faculty Orchestra, Cumberland Community Playhouse, Bryan Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Youth Symphony, Columbus, GA Music Festival, and TN Governor’s School for the Arts. Major teachers include Gene Echols, Jeff Keesecker, James Lotz, Keith McClelland, Cedric Coleman, and Karla Elkolm.
